3.Is remote access available?

Yes. Users may access Marshall Cavendish Digital from remote locations following log in and authentication by their home institution.

4.Is there a limit to the number of simultaneous users?

We provide access to unlimited simultaneous users. However, for reasons of security, detection of unauthorized usage might lead to temporary limitations.

5.What illustrations are available online?

The majority of illustrations in each print title are available online. For some titles, the digital illustration program is virtually identical with that of the print version. Differences are due, in part, to the availability of digital rights. If digital rights to a photograph are unavailable, Marshall Cavendish Digital will provide a suitable alternative. Virtually all drawings, diagrams, and maps published in print are available online.

6.How often is Marshall Cavendish Digital updated?

Quarterly, although some content in science and health will be reviewed and updated more regularly.

7.How do I cite an article from Marshall Cavendish Digital?

The Cite This button at the top of your screen provides citation information in three formats: Modern Language Association (MLA), American Psychological Association (APA), and Chicago Manual of Style, 15th Edition (CMS 15). Location of access information, if required for report writing, will need to be provided by the user.

8.What kinds of browsing are available?

Content can be browsed by curriculum-related subject categories and by titles of individual works. Users can also browse content by Photographs, Drawings and Diagrams, Maps, Time Lines, Subjects, and Flags, although all these media are not present for every title.

9.What kinds of searching are available?

Users can conduct a Quick Search within a search box or an Advanced Search by setting precise search criteria. Use quotation marks to search exact phrases. QUICK SEARCH provides results based on main textual content only but will return Web pages that show related visual resources as well. ADVANCED SEARCH provides guidance for generating search criteria to yield targeted results. Users can search one or more media type, one or more title, or their entire Marshall Cavendish Digital library using Advanced Search or by initiating a search within a title or a browsing category. ALL SEARCHES automatically include singular and simple plural forms of nouns except when using quotation marks around a search term or phrase. Search results are prioritized by relevancy, with complete articles listed first. The total number of actual results may differ slightly from the total stated by the search engine.
